The Yellowpipe RightLynx tool is an addition to the right-click menu for Firefox and Windows Internet Explorer 6.x, allowing you to preview the page you are on with our Lynx Viewer.
With just one click, and without living the page (RightLynx opens in a new, small window) you can see what what a page will look like when viewed with Lynx , a text-mode web browser. It is also presumably, how search engines see your site. In addition to that, it can help determine if web pages are accessible to the vision impaired.

• How do I download and install/uninstall the RightLynx tool?

• Firefox extension: download it from Mozilla.com.

For less modern browsers like Internet Explorer, follow the instructions below:

• Internet Explorer. Installing the RightLynx tool is easy, and only takes a few minutes. To install it, you'll need to add a registry file to your Windows system, by following the instructions below.

By installing and/or using the RightLynx Tool, you agree to abide by the Yellowpipe Toolbar Terms of Use (which can be found at http://toolbar.yellowpipe.com/terms) as if such terms applied to the RightLynx Tool.  You may not use the RightLynx Tool in any manner that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair any Yellowpipe services or be in contradiction with the policy of the website you are viewing with this tool.

To install (IE):

    • 1. Right-click the link below and select Save Target As... Save the registry file (.reg) to your desktop.

    • 2. Double-click the file from your desktop. A confirmation window will appear - click Yes to continue.
          The registry update will self-install.
    • 3. Restart Internet Explorer by closing all open IE windows.

That's it! Clicking the right mouse button from any web page will open your context menu - select Yellowpipe Lynx Viewer Toolfrom the menu to launch the RightLynx tool.

To uninstall (IE):

      1. Right-click the link below and select Save Target As... Save the registry file (.reg) to your desktop

    • 2. Double-click the file from your desktop. A confirmation window will appear - click Yes to continue. All preview tool files will be deleted from your system.
    • 3. Restart Internet Explorer by closing all open IE windows.
    • 4. You can delete the downloaded .reg file from your desktop.

If you'd prefer to manually uninstall the preview tool from your system, it's as simple as deleting the RightLynx tool entry from your registry:

      1. From your Start menu, select Run...
      2. Type regedit into the text field and click OK. The Registry Editor window will open.
      3. Browse to the following folder: \HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\MenuExt\
      4. Within the MenuExt folder, right-click the Yellowpipe Lynx Viewer Tool folder and select Delete . Click Yes to confirm.
      5. Close the Registry Editor and restart Internet Explorer by closing all open browser windows.


• How do I use the RightLynx tool?

To launch the RightLynx tool, simply right-click on any web page. From the menu that appears, select Yellowpipe Lynx Viewer Tool . The RightLynx tool will open in a small new window, and will display the page you are viewing as it would be displayed if viewed with The Lynx browser.

• What browsers and operating systems are compatible with the RightLynx tool?

RightLynx is available for Firefox (version 0.8 to 1.9) and for Windows versions of Internet Explorer version 6.x.
